Conquer Spiti – Convoy Expedition (10th – 16th May 2026)

At 8:00 AM, the convoy assembles in Chandigarh.
Travellers from different cities meet for the first time —
introductions are brief, energy is focused. After a
structured briefing, radio checks, and SUV alignment, we
share breakfast before departure.
As engines start in sequence, the convoy moves toward
the Himalayas. The transition from plains to hills sets the
tone for disciplined formation driving. This first stretch
establishes spacing, communication, and rhythm. A mid
route lunch halt allows the group to recalibrate before
the ascent continues toward Narkanda.
By evening, we check into our curated hotel/homestay.
Dinner marks the formal beginning of a journey designed
for those who value precision over impulse

Folowing breakfast, we depart at 10:00 AM sharp. The
road now narrows as the Sutlej River guides us into
Kinnaur. Rock-cut sections and exposed mountain edges
demand complete attention from each driver.
Our SUVs move in disciplined formation, maintaining
convoy integrity through technical stretches. Lunch is
taken en route before the climb continues toward Kalpa.
The Kinnaur Kailash range rises in the distance — vast,
composed, and indifferent to movement below.
Dinner at our stay offers time to decompress while
preparing mentaly for the cold desert ahead

Departure remains precise at 10:00 AM after breakfast.
Today marks the transition into Spiti. Vegetation thins,
terrain opens, and the scale of the landscape expands
dramatically.
The Malling Nala stretch introduces raw mountain
conditions — broken patches and shifting surfaces that
require mechanical sympathy and steady control. A
planned lunch halt breaks the drive before we proceed
deeper into the valley.
By afternoon, we arrive in Tabo — home to one of the
Oldest monasteries in the Himalayas. The silence here is
not emptiness; it is permanence. Dinner and rest focus on
acclimatisation and measured pacing

 A shorter drive, but one of immense visual scale. After
breakfast, we depart at 10:00 AM, following the Spiti
River through expansive desert terrain. The convoy moves
smoothly through wide valleys framed by stark, eroded
mountains.
Lunch is taken during the drive before arrival in Kaza —
the operational center of Spiti. The afternoon is
intentionally lighter, allowing for acclimatisation, vehicle
inspections, and preparation for high-altitude driving.
Dinner concludes the day with clarity and focus for what
lies ahead

Breakfast is followed by a 10:00 AM departure into Spiti’s
upper reaches — the defining day of the expedition.
We ascend to Key Monastery, rising above the valley
floor, before pushing higher to Hikkim, home to the
world’s highest post office. The climb continues to Komic,
regarded as India’s highest motorable village, where
altitude begins to test both machine and driver.
Lunch is taken during the circuit before descending
toward Langza, with its commanding Buddha statue, and
finally reaching Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest
suspension bridge spanning a deep Himalayan gorge.
By evening, we return to Kaza for dinner — a day that
clearly separates a scenic drive from an earned
experience

After breakfast, the convoy departs at 10:00 AM,
retracing the Spiti River through canyon-like formations.
The drive is long and steady, requiring sustained
concentration.
A structured lunch halt breaks the stretch before we
reach Nako — a high-altitude settlement centered
around a quiet mountain lake. The descent in elevation is
gradual, but the terrain remains uncompromising. Dinner
provides a quieter evening of reflection.

 Breakfast precedes our 10:00 AM departure. The
landscape transitions from stark desert to greener
Himalayan slopes. Pine forests return, and the textures of
the mountains soften.
Lunch is taken during the drive as we navigate mixed
terrain toward Sarahan. The convoy remains disciplined
despite familiarity returning to the roads. Dinner marks
one of the final evenings together — a composed
closure to the high-altitude phase of the expedition

An earlier 9:00 AM departure follows breakfast. The final
leg demands endurance and focus as we descend
steadily toward the plains. Lunch is taken en route.
By evening, the convoy reaches Chandigarh. What
concludes is not simply a route completed, but a
standard upheld — of preparation, discipline, and
collective movement through demanding terrain.
